Wildfire smoke has affected the Vancouver, Canada's air quality since September 8, 2020. We have patients with COPD and asthma that are at risk more than others. Our system can detect changes in the patients’ health parameters. As an example, you can see how the smoke has decreased the activity level and the blood oxygenation, and increased the resting heart rate of a COPD patient.
With the smoke in the air, he experienced a shortness of breath and as a result, he has used his inhalers more.
While his weight and body temperature has not changed much so far…
As a reference you can see the Vancouver air quality index during this period.
Please contact us if you have any questions. We will continue monitoring and working with our users to improve their behaviour for a healthier life.
